Hello again, welcome back with me again. Today we are going to know which point is best suit for this majestic music of Raiden V, Unknown Pollution. AS AN EARLY WARNING, this content was for a little bit advanced user. If you still dizzy to understand, please consult an expert, or your friend who are better in music editing/creating, or learn more by using pattern on my previous 5 songs.
To speed up our time, let’s go to the content. Here the song I use was from the original CD album, the length was 3:42.70
We are notice that the intro was ended around 0:15.05 , cut that part, and save it for later. Now we are going to hear the whole part, and after we finish hear it, there was two possible loop point at 01:41.01 and 03:35.51 . If you think there was two loop point, you are partially right. Reason I say “partially”, there was two reason. First one, please check again at 01:10.01 and 02:36.14 . There were also similar pre-chorus song, but there were also has some minor difference. Since the goal of extending music was to extend it as long as possible WITHOUT left out even minor difference, we must double check the entire song before we are pinpoint the real loop point.
※Precautions: there was also many fake loop point, as I mention earlier at one of my journal entry. This is one of the case we currently face now.
Now, we have a loop point this long.
A: Yes! We finally made it, but it likely not synced out after I copy and join the loop fragment.
Me: Of course, we have not done yet ;) . But please, leave the copied fragment and do not delete it, we need it later.
The one that makes this fragment wasn’t synced, it is because the beginning and end part are not really identical. This led to the second reason why I say the loop point around 01:41.01 ARE partially right. We notice that this part has same ending point like the one on 03:35.51 , and we can lend this part to clear out the unsynced part. HOW?
First, we need an easy cutout. The one at 01:35.28 and 01:45.46 looks OK, since the 01:35.28 part has really contrast difference, and the 01:45.46 part was the end of first fragment on second part. Cut this part and move to the part where we put two out of sync fragment. Place it and clean out so unwanted noise disappears. Notice that we are done with the unsync part, it is very tiring if we are do it again and again until desired length, and it is too extreme if you decide to make it 10 hours.
Solution was, make a raw file out of this finished mess. Firstly, recreate the original end part of the song at the second fragment. In FL Studio, you just need to move the cursor to the very right edge of the fragment, until your cursor changes into two asymmetrical size arrow point, click and hold, then drag to the right until there are no audio waveform left even it is just a line. We are now having a music within this length
Render it using the ultimate quality you have, we need it raw for our next process.
Create new file, or clean everything on your current file, and import our newly temporary raw music. We are starting to loop this thing after a huge mess moments before.
Remember the point on 01:35.28 to make the unsync part got right? Reuse this timeline, along with the counterpart at 04:54.74 since this two are guaranteed to be symmetric when use. Now copy it as much as you want, even 10 hours.
This was the end of this loop point tutorial. Since this one is little bit tricky, I am explain it longer than usual in case the next song you want to extend, you are really facing another song of this kind soon after you read this.
Last word, keep learning. Mastering process requires at very least 3 years to do with intensity of 3 hours a day. Have a nice day!
